Week 12: Assorted Activities
Monday, November 13th
You know I didn't do a lot this week because I can barely remember it 🙊
Even though I didn't travel this week or weekend, I really enjoyed being able to live life like I would in Cleveland -- but in a much cooler place!
Tuesday, November 14th
Nothing of significance happened during the day, BUT we had our last API cultural activity that night. We went to Cirk La Putyka's performance, K, which is based on a handful of Franz Kafka's short stories. It's really hard to explain because there was comedy, magic, singing, dancing, acrobatics, gymnastics, black lights, and roller skating. You get a taste of it in the trailer. I absolutely loved it. I was familiar with most of the stories that were being referenced, so it was really cool to see them brought to life.

The pianist was amazing. He was on stage and playing almost the entire time. At one point, he played from within the piano but like backwards I don't know it's really hard to explain WAIT I found a picture
I'm sad that this is our last API activity. I've really appreciated having them because Jana was able to expose us to a variety of locations and activities around Prague that I don't think I would've discovered on my own, so, if you're reading this, thank you, Jana!
Wednesday, November 15th
I had class and spent the afternoon working in the library.
Thursday, November 16th
That night, Sadie, Aislinn, Ella, and I watched the 2004 version of The Phantom of the Opera.

In art history, we went back to the Trade Palace, but focused on Czech modernism. The museum also has graphic design exhibitions, which I really appreciate.

That night, I got dinner with Katelyn, Lilly, Ella and her boyfriend, Dylan, and Evan and it was nice to hang out with people I haven't had much opportunity to get to know.
Friday, November 17th
November 17th is Czech Freedom and Democracy Day, which you can learn about here. I spent a good portion of the day walking around Wenceslas Square and the street party in Národnà trÃda.
